Can people call me back?
No, at present you can only make calls to telephones and not receive them. However, future versions will have PC to PC and Phone to PC capabilities.
Are my personal details safe and secure?
We are bound by the very strict rules of the UK's Data Protection Act 1998. We do not release your personal details to any other company except during credit card authorization.
Is there a MAC, UNIX or LINUX version?
Not at present. We are directing our resources towards the largest worldwide market which is, of course, users of Intel-based PCs.
How about mobile phones?
Yes, you can call mobile phones too. However, certain FREEPHONE and PREMIUM rates are unavailable.
What languages does the Internet telephone support?
Presently you have a choice of ten languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish.
Does it work on networked PCs?
Yes, but to use it in a networked environment you need H.323 compliance. Check with your Network Administrator.
What processors are supported?
We currently support all Intel processors of 266Mhz and faster (including Celeron). Although many users have successfully used our service on other manufacturers processors (Cyrix, AMD etc.)
How is billing calculated?
You purchase pre-paid call time using a credit/debit card via our secure server. You are charged for calls that are connected. There are no subscription or monthly charges. Each call attracts a minimum charge of thirty seconds of call-time, and then additional six-second blocks.
What happens when my credit runs low?
When your credit drops below £5, you can top up your on-screen phone easily, by clicking on the '$' button. You'll need your credit card details at hand.
What is your refund policy?
Our terms and conditions include a statement that if you try the service and are dissatisfied for any reason, we will refund your balance. All you need to do is write to Callserve and Callserve will refund your balance directly to your credit card.
